INVASIVE SPECIES REGULATIONS

All property sales agreements entered into after 1 October 2014 must adhere to the provisions of regulation 29, which inter alia provides that where a permit-holder sells property on which a specimen of an alien or listed invasive species appears, the new owner must apply for a new permit de novo.

The seller must also notify the purchaser, in writing, of the presence of listed invasive species on the property being sold, and the purchaser must accept the property, inclusive of the vegetation on the property.
